Maria Marica was awarded the prize for the Best Instrumentalist of the Year by the Union of Music Critics, Editors and Producers from Romania

Maria Marica was awarded the prize for the Best Instrumentalist of the Year 2024 by the Union of Music Critics, Editors and Producers from Romania during the MUSICRIT Gala Concert that took place on January 14th 2025 at the Romanian Atheneum in Bucharest. 

The New Hope Grand Prix national tour that started in October 2022 continues with concerts in IaÈ™i, BraÈ™ov and Satu Mare in January and February. Alongside Cornelius Zirbo (cello) and Cadmiel BoÈ›ac (piano), Maria gets to perform with 10 philharmonic orchestras around Romania in the 2022-2023 season, as winner of the violin section of the New Hope Grand Prix Competition.

In November 2022 Maria was one of the 15 young talents to take part in the Lumières d'Europe Chamber Music Festival&Academy in Paris, working alongside internationally acclaimed  musicians David Grimal, Diemut Poppen, Gary Hoffmann, Claire Desert,  Gerard Pesson.

Maria Marica wins George Enescu International Violin Competition 2022

​

Maria Marica, age 24, won the 2022 George Enescu International Competition Violin Section after a Final in which she performed the Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 by Johannes Brahms. The violinist also received a special award from the IMK Vienna Association, represented by jury member Igor Petrushevski: a concert as a soloist with the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 2023 in Prague.
